What are we Doing?

Today I sense God speaking to me about what we do as worship leaders. When people are connected to and in alignment with God's Spirit they are the most alive. They are more loving and kind, more fulfilled and purposeful. They live with a sense of mission. They are challenged to grow and change. They have peace in the middle of their turmoil. They rescue others from the emptiness of life without God's presence. Am I saying that a few songs on Sunday morning does all of that? No, but we do provide glimpses into that kind of life. We are given permission and opportunity by every human being who walks into the room to look into their eyes and inspire them. Think about it! Hundreds of people get out of bed on their day off, some wrestle with kids, some are worn out and stressed, some are skeptical of God and God's people, some are hurting and scared, some are pumped up and ready to worship God. What they experience when come, what they hear when they listen, what they see when they watch is entrusted to us. They give us one the most valuable resources of their life, their time and attention. That is the stewardship we are given. I don't know about you but I am humbled and inspired. May your passion for God's calling be stirred today. Love ya!
